Program
Scope
CBBI-20 will provide a forum for specialists involved in the design, research, development and testing of materials and components for lithium ceramic based breeding blankets. The emphasis is on the ITER test program and solid breeder R&D for DEMO. The workshop will include presentations on recent technical progress.
Topics of the Technical Program
- Solid breeder blanket design for ITER TBM and DEMO
- Ceramic breeder material development, production and qualification
- Modeling and properties of pebble beds
- Hydrogen isotope de-/sorption and transport phenomena
- Irradiation testing
- Topical discussions on selective key issues for ceramic breeder blankets
Agenda
The CBBI-20 is scheduled in the week before ISFNT-14 for 2.5 days from Wednesday morning, 18 September 2019 until Friday noon, 20 September 2019.

Workshop Dinner
A location for a joint workshop dinner will be organized in Karlsruhe on Thursday, 19 September 2019. (The costs are to be borne by the participants.)
